Frustrations of a young journalist

About

I love journalism. The state of the industry today frustrates me. Those two sentences sum me up pretty well.

In other news, I’m in my senior year at the University of Florida, majoring in journalism and minoring in environmental science. In fall 2008, I was  the managing editor for print of The Independent Florida Alligator, billed as the largest student-run papers in the nation. I’ve interned at the San Antonio Express-News and The Miami Herald, and my next internship will be with The Associated Press in Miami this summer.

I like National Public Radio, crunchy peanut butter, satisfying my curiosity, my iPod, the non-serial comma and really good headlines.

And unrelated to absolutely anything, I’ll be looking for a reporting job starting January 2010.
